Directions

From The Black Isle, Dingwall and Inverness

At the Ardullie Roundabout just off the Cromarty Firth bridge
You will see a layby to your Right, here you can see our seal colony tides permitting
Continuing on leave the A9 travelling North at the Evanton junction and follow the B817, through Evanton until you reach a T junction,
Turn Left and then first Right onto the B817 to Alness, Scotland and Britain in Bloom multi winners.

At the end of Alness High Street you will see signs for Invergordon turning Right
Follow this road, straight over the roundabout passing or even visiting The Dalmore Distillery as a point of reference.

Continue along the shore road until you get to Invergordon
Here you can wander around the High Street, Mural's and shops

And to see the Cruise Liner in port on the day you choose to visit

Continue along the Shore road passing through Saltburn, the views off to your Right of the Cromarty Firth, The Black Isle
and opening to the sea called The Sutors, there are places to stop and take in the scenery

 

Then follow on to Kildary, Cross the A9 at the staggered Junction onto an unclassified road until you get to the T junction
Turning Right onto the B9175

This will take you to Nigg, a great place to watch the large Cruise Liners leaving The Cromarty Firth

From here you can further explore the Tarbat / Fearn Peninsula and the seaboard towns and beaches of
Shandwick, Balintore, Hilton, Portmahomack, Inver and Tain
or
Take the Nigg Car Ferry over to Cromarty and The Black Isle and back to Inverness


From the North

At the Nigg Roundabout
You will also see the Cruise liner in Port banner
Just follow the signs for Saltburn and Invergordon at the Kildary junction, point of reference is the Peugeot Dealer "Ken's"
If you are returning North please follow the Cromarty North Shore route back to Nigg to watch the liner leave from the shoreline
